Experimental center: It is established through merge of former Energy and Environment Engineering Department and Civil Engineering Department in June, 2006 under approval, which has 5 specialized laboratories and 27 functional subsidiary laboratories affiliated to it. Presently, the Center has 5 full-time experimental and teaching staffs, including 1 with senior professional title. It has more than 1000 sets of experimental equipments with total value over RMB 13.65million, including such large equipments as electro-hydraulic universal testing machine and ARC quick heat value tester. The laboratory covers a usable floor area of more than 2500 square meters. The center mainly assumes all experiments of fundamental and specialized courses of the department as well as practical teaching activities of other cooperative institutes and departments. Furthermore, the center is also engaged in cooperative tests with other institutes and departments, and participate in tests associated with scientific research items upon accomplishment of its own experimental tasks. Experimental Center dedicates to cultivation of students’ capability in practice and innovation in an attempt to improve their comprehensive quality.
