On November 4, 2024, Nina Morris, the Global Partnerships Manager at the University of Birmingham, visited Shanghai Institute of Technology to engage in in-depth discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two universities. The meeting focused on exploring collaboration opportunities in various areas, including academics, research, and faculty and student exchanges, fostering a greater fusion of cross-cultural education and innovation.
Representing Shanghai Institute of Technology were Prof. Chen Qingchang, Director of the International Office; Prof. Cao Kaitian, Deputy Dean of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Prof. Yu Jun, Deputy Dean of the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering; Prof. Zhou Ding, Deputy Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering; and Dr. Li Dan from the School of Urban Construction and Safety Engineering. During the meeting, both sides discussed specifics for joint training programs, faculty exchange, and collaborative research applications. Li Dan provided an overview of the School of Urban Construction's strengths in civil engineering and intelligent construction and exchanged insights with Nina Morris on cutting-edge developments and future directions in these areas.
