Civil Engineering (Four-year Undergraduate Program, Bachelor of Engineering)

Major of Civil Engineering covers two programs, namely Construction Engineering and Traffic Civil Engineering. There are nearly 630 undergraduates in this major. Presently, there are 25 full-time teachers, including 2 professor, 13 vice professors, 1 senior engineer, 8 lecturers and 1 lab master, 21 doctors and 2 part-time doctoral students. As a key discipline and highland for undergraduate education as designated by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, this major is supplemented with basic theories on safety engineering, technical courses and practice link based on the advantages over interdisciplinary studies of civil engineering and safety. Major courses include Mechanics of Materials, Structural Mechanics, Civil Engineering Materials, Design Principle on Concrete Structure, Soil Mechanics, Foundation Works, Construction Techniques and Organization, Engineering Budget, Bridge Hydrology, Soil Mechanics, Bridge Engineering, Pier and Foundation, Route Survey and so on.
