Architecture (FIve-year Undergraduate Program, Bachelor of Engineering)

The major boasts over 200 enrolled students, and has a faculty of 12, including 9 teachers with vice-senior professional title and above and 4 first-grade registered architects. This major is one of four undergraduate majors of architecture in Shanghai featuring in cultivation of students’ design and R&D capability by training them as architects. The major aims to cultivate students’ technical conception and vision on building energy conservation and intellect by giving priority to the cultivation of practical application skills in an attempt to realize diversified development as compared with architecture disciplines in other universities. The major is also accessible to foreign students. Major courses include Foundation of Construction Design, Architecture Design and Principles, Architectural Mechanics, Building Structure and Structure Type Selection, Architectural Physics, Overseas History of Architecture and Urban Planning Principles, etc.
